Rocko Tiles are designed for indoor installation. The product is intended for finishing wall surfaces in both dry and wet rooms. Proper installation and maintenance will ensure the long-lasting use of Rocko Tiles.
The manufacturer is not responsible for any damage caused by improper installation or unsuitable assembly conditions.
WALL TILE INSTALLATION – DRY ROOMS
WASTE ALLOWANCE
Order 10% more than the installation area to account for cutting and leftovers.
ACCLIMATIZATION REQUIREMENTS 48H
REQUIRED INDOOR CONDITIONS 15°C – 30°C [59°F – 86°F]
DEFINITION OF “WATERPROOF”
The structural integrity of Rocko flooring will not be affected by exposure to moisture/water.
Acclimatization
Before installation, Rocko tiles must be acclimatized to room temperature at the installation site. The room where the installation takes place should have a temperature between 15°C – 30°C [59°F – 86°F]. Rocko tiles must be stored horizontally on a flat surface under controlled environmental conditions.

Tools for installation / Recommended accessories
- Circular saw with guide rail
- Cutting disc – recommended discs have a sufficient number of teeth, e.g., ø165mm (56 teeth) and ø350mm (108 teeth)
- Utility knife
- Ruler, measuring tape, pencil
- Tile spacers, leveling clips
- Glue spatula, cartridge press
- Broom or vacuum cleaner
• Optional: circular saw, hole drill, hardware, assembly pliers

- SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
3.1 SUBSTRATE REQUIREMENTS
WOOD (PLYWOOD, OSB)
• Wooden substrates must be firmly attached to the base structure; Rocko tiles must not be installed on unstable or poorly attached base boards.
• The substrate must be load-bearing, dry, clean, and degreased.
• The substrate must be stable, without cracks, bends, or unevenness.
CONCRETE, BRICK
• Wooden substrates must be firmly attached to the base structure; Rocko tiles must not be installed on unstable or poorly attached base boards.
• Any protrusions must be removed by sanding; cavities can be filled with suitable filler and then primed.
• The substrate must be cured and matured as recommended.
CERAMIC TILES, TERRAZZO, STONE
• The existing surface must be firmly attached to the base structure; do not install Rocko tiles on unstable or poorly attached tiles.
• The surface must be thoroughly cleaned and degreased before applying adhesive.
3.2. Surface leveling
The substrate must be level with a maximum deviation of 2 mm per 1 m length [0.08″ per 40″]. There should be no bumps, deflections, or defects.

3.3. Cleaning the substrate
Clean the wall of dirt and dust and degrease it if installing on a non-absorbent surface. The surface must be smooth and stable.
3.4. Surface dimensions
Before starting installation, measure the lengths of the walls where Rocko tiles will be mounted. Proper planning of the tile layout prevents very narrow pieces and allows for proportional placement.

Cutting ROCKO tiles
Shape the tiles with a circular saw with a guide. It is recommended to use discs with a sufficient number of teeth, e.g., ø165 mm (56 teeth) and ø350 mm (108 teeth). Make sure to cut the tile with the decorative surface facing up. If there are electrical outlets or other fixtures on the wall, drill holes in the tile before installation. Depending on the shape, holes can be cut using a hole saw or jigsaw.

Cleaning tile surfaces
Cut tiles must be cleaned. The back of the tile where adhesive will be applied must be dust-free, dry, and degreased to ensure proper adhesion.

- Applying adhesive from tube / cartridge / foil pack
ADHESIVE APPLICATION
Apply mounting adhesive to the back of the tile or wall surface. If using adhesive in a cartridge or foil pack, apply it in vertical strips at 10 cm intervals. Do not apply adhesive in dabs. Apply adhesive around each drilled hole. Bonded surfaces must be joined within 10 minutes of applying the adhesive.

Applying adhesive with a notched trowel
Apply mounting adhesive to the back of the tile or wall surface. Apply adhesive across the entire surface of the tile to be bonded. Do not apply adhesive in dabs. Use a (C1) notched trowel 4x4x4 mm. Bonded surfaces must be joined within 40 minutes of applying the adhesive.

Bonding tiles to the surface
After applying the adhesive, place the tile on the wall and press it. For optimal adhesion, press the bonded elements so that there is a 2-3 mm ventilation gap between them. This gap ensures the adhesive joint can
